This agreement is for a lettings agent to use when instructing contractors on behalf of their landlord clients. It is designed to pass liability for defective work onto the contractor and to ensure that the landlord retains the primary responsibility for paying the contractor’s invoice. It also sets out a number of good practice points that contractors should adhere to.
