In our earlier post this morning we incorrectly stated that the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published guidance for lettings professionals on complying with consumer protection laws and laws about dealing with other businesses. We should have stated that in fact the CMA has updated its guidance despite it still being dated 2014 on the front cover. We apologise for the confusion that this has caused and will post further on this guidance as stated in our original post. For those keen to know what the update is it specifically refers to housing benefit claimants and is on page 49 of the 2014 guidance.
We have amended the original post to make this clearer too.
